I live in mid Wales. I am a full time fine artist.

My art practice is largely concerned with family life and domestic space.  I look at the family unit, at roles and communication within the family, and in particular the space between, and interactions of, family members. I explore domestic interior spaces and the items found within them.  Toys, games, books and family photographs feature frequently in my work.

My previous careers in historical geography and archaeology are often reflected in my approach to my work.

I work in 2D and 3D with found objects, paper, textile and thread, photography (original and found), performance and sound, and use many techniques including drawing, digital drawing, printing, handstitching and collage.

I exhibit regularly as a selected or invited artist, and my work is in private collections in the UK, Europe and the US, and in the Tate Collection of Artists' Books.

I collaborate with the artist Richard Shipp on video and sound work.
